Heart Children

Supporting our little heroes every step of the way

About us

Heart Children is the national organisation providing support to people born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) and their families in Ireland. We work to help people with CHD - of all ages - to stay well, live confidently and enjoy life to its fullest.

How we help our members.

  • Direct Funding
  • Play Therapy
  • Psychology Support
  • Peer Support
  • INR Home Testing
  • Social Events
  • Advocacy

Now thirty years in operation, the organisation began as a parent support group and providing ‘support’ remains our core mission. The medical care of people with CHD happens in hospital, but the extended care of the child and their family requires differing levels of emotional and psychological support. Heart Children is focused on responding to this need to shape a range of professional support services.

We receive no government funding and rely soley on our members, corporates sponsorship and fundraising to provide our services. At present we have two full time staff, CEO Sheila Campbell and Fundraising Executive, Niamh Kearney.  We are always looking for people to help at events and to get involved in fundraising.

If you would like to support the work of Heart Children or are a Corporate looking to partner with a worthy chairty, we’d love to hear from you. Get in touch by emailing [email protected]
