Cill Eo Le Chéile 10km Walk for Heart Children
Cill Eo Le Chéile, Longford - 10km Walk
My Story
Please support our 10 km fundraising walk which takes place on 13th May 2023 by donating to support the vital support services Heart Children provide.
We are a group of mums from Killoe in Co. Longford who have been involved in numerous fundraising initiatives to raise money for CHI Crumlin and other charities for sick children over the years.
In September 2022 one of our own children became ill and was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition.
Logan is our little brave heart at just 8 years old he spent 9 weeks under the impeccable care of his cardiology team lead by Professor Orla Franklin and the amazing staff in the the heart centre in Crumlin. After his diagnosis Logan underwent open heart surgery and like all heart children is a very brave resilient boy who has shown great determination over the last few months of his recovery and always with a smile on his face. We are so proud of Logan who thankfully is now back at school In St Teresa’s NS Killoe preparing for his first holy communion with his wonderful friends and his teacher Ms Corr. Just recently Logan participated in school athletics running in the 200 meters relay race and is also back training with his local football club Emmet Óg in Killoe all of which seemed out of reach back in October before his surgery.
We share in the gratitude felt by Logan’s family and so wanted to give something back to one of the amazing charities helping children like Logan with CHD.
Thanks so much for donating to Heart Children so they can continue to provide much needed services to Heart Families all over Ireland.
